Qawarma is a traditional Lebanese pantry made from minced lamb meat. Adonis Valley Qawarma is made from locally bred Awassi sheep that graze freely in the wild oak forests of Adonis Valley and feeding mainly on acorns. The villagers cook and preserve the minced meat in its own fat, pour it hot in glass jars, and then store it in a cool place for the winter.
