Chaga mushroom or Inonotus obliquus is a large dark mushroom that grows on Birch trees in cool regions.
Its high melanin content gives it its famous dark exterior that is obtained when it’s exposed to sunlight while its interior stays bright orange.
It’s known for its high antioxidants content and nutrients like B-complex vitamins, vitamin D, potassium, rubidium, selenium, zinc and many others.
Because it’s a wonderful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent it can be used as a remedy like arthritis and high blood pressure. It may also help lower blood sugar and even slow the progression of cancer cells. It’s also an antiviral and antimicrobial.
