When a baby cannot achieve a good latch, trying to breastfeed can be frustrating and upsetting for both mums and babies.
In the early days after birth, mothers may experience engorgement or swollen breasts - a temporary condition that can make breastfeeding difficult or uncomfortable.
Using Lansinoh Latch Assist, mothers can gently draw the nipple out just long enough for baby to grasp the nipple and areola and establish a good latch, which is the first step in successful breastfeeding.
How to Use:
Select the LatchAssist™ size that is most comfortable. With your baby in position to breastfeed, gently squeeze the bulb and place cone over your nipple. Slowly release the bulb for desired pressure. Repeat until your nipple is extended and your baby can easily latch on to the breast.
How to care: Wash before and after use in hot, soapy water. Rinse and air dry. Replace back into the case ready for next use.
